গুজরাট ভোটের ঠিক আগে এক নতুন রাজনৈতিক বিতর্ক তৈরি হলো।কংগ্রেসের যুবনেতা রাহুল গান্ধী।তিনি আজ এমন এক ঘটনা করলেন যা বিরোধীদের হাতে এক নতুন অস্ত্র। আসলে আজ রাহুল গান্ধী এবং তার সঙ্গে কংগ্রেসের এক দল সোমনাথ মন্দির দর্শন করতে গিয়েছিল।আর এখানে ঢুকতে গিয়েই এক চাঞ্চল্যকর ঘটনা ঘটে গেল, আসলে 2015 সাল থেকে মন্দির কর্তৃপক্ষ এক নতুন নিয়ম চালু করে যেখানে অন্যান্য জাতির কেউ মন্দিরে ঢুকতে চাই তাহলে তাকে মন্দিরের রেজিস্টারে নাম লেখাতে হবে। আজ কংগ্রেসের দলে একমাত্র আহমেদ প্যাটেল ছিলেন মুসলিম,কিন্তু রেজিস্টারে দেখা যায় প্রথমে রাহুল গান্ধীর নাম এবং তার পর আহমেদ প্যাটেলের নাম লেখা। এর পরেই বিজেপির তরফ থেকে শুরু হয়েছে নানা মন্তব্য আর আগে বিজেপি নেতা সুব্রমনিয়াম স্বামী দাবি করেন রাহুল শিষ্ট্রেন এবং তার বাড়িতে ভেতরে চার্চ বানানো আছে। গুজরাট ভোটে ঘোষণা হবার পর থেকেই রাহুল গান্ধী নিজেকে আসল হিন্দু প্রমান করার জন্য সমস্ত মন্দিরে যাচ্ছেন যা তার বা তাদের পরিবারের ভাব মূর্তির সাথে কোনোভাবেই খাপ খায়না।এমনকি অন্যবারের মত এবারও দাঙ্গা নিয়েও পাটির তরফে থেকে কোন মন্তব্য পাওয়া যাচ্ছে না।এমন অবস্থায় আজকের এই ঘটনা কংগ্রেস
